Central African Transport SARL
Central African Transport SARL specializes in transport and logistics in the most difficult regions in Central Africa. Subsidiary of the Ugandan Group Semliki Rift, with 30 years of experience in the complex logistics operations in Central and Eastern Africa.
CAT is the only Central African company to cover the entire national territory of CAR from Bouar to Obo, and from Bayanga to Birao.
With our fleet of off-road vehicles and dedicated team we offer solutions to ensure and assist in the implementation of various projects in CAR, from rental of vehicles and lifting equipment to rescues of cargo. These assets are put a the disposal of dedicated convoys, all equipped with a mobile workshop vehicle for maintenance and repairs, experienced convoy leaders, GPS tracking solutions and satellite phones in order to keep permanent control of cargo and equipment.
Our administrative offices and main workshops are in Bangui, with smaller offices in various cities on the territory. CAT has also had an important base in Bangassou since 2018 also fitted with a complete workshop, fuel storage capacity and administrative offices placed is at the heart of this regional of operation allowing a complete maintenance and replenishment of vehicles on the road to Obo and South Sudan.
Our Obo base, the border between Central Africa, South Sudan and Democratic Congo, Obo region has all the assets to become a hub for trade, agriculture and industry. A totally landlocked region which remained an obstacle to the implementation of humanitarian and commercial projects but where we are always present to assist in the development of aid process in order to guarantee a regular delivery.
Our desire to open the road linking our operations between Southern Sudan and the Central African Republic, as well as to allow the development of humanitarian projects in the Central African Republic, has allowed us to gradually open up a long communication axis of 2000 kilometers linking Bangui to Juba along one of the most difficult roads in the world.
